How to Cancel

Cancel on Your Own (Fastest Method)

  1. Access the Customer Portal using the magic link from your subscription confirmation email
  2. Click “Cancel Subscription” in your subscription management dashboard
  3. Confirm cancellation when prompted
  4. Receive instant confirmation — a cancellation email is sent immediately

What Happens After Cancellation

  • Current membership benefits discontinue immediately
  • No future shipments will be sent
  • Lifetime warranty immediately terminates
  • 6-month bulb warranty ends immediately
  • Loss of discounted pricing on replacement bulbs

⚠ Important Cancellation Notes

  • If your original 1-year warranty is still valid, you revert to it after cancellation
  • Rejoining later costs 50% of the current unit price if your original warranty has expired
  • Consider pausing instead — it only costs $10 and keeps all your benefits active

How to Pause or Skip Shipments

Process

  1. Contact customer service at least 14 days before your next scheduled shipment
  2. Pay the $10 pause fee — processed at the time of your request
  3. Receive confirmation email with your updated schedule and resume date

What Happens When You Pause

Your membership benefits continue uninterrupted. Warranty coverage remains fully active. Your shipment schedule resumes automatically at the next scheduled interval after the pause period ends.

Limitations

  • Maximum of 1 pause within any 5 consecutive years
  • $10 fee is charged each time you pause
  • Cannot pause retroactively — must request before the shipment processes

How to Modify Your Membership

Changes You CAN Make

Update Payment Method

  1. Log in via your account or magic link
  2. Remove your old payment method
  3. Add a new credit card or PayPal
  4. Verify with a small authorization hold

Takes effect immediately for all future charges.

Change Shipping Address

  1. In your portal dashboard, find the Shipping option
  2. Update to your new address
  3. Confirm the address is serviceable (US/Canada only)
  4. Changes apply to future shipments

Note: Cannot redirect shipments that are already in transit.

Update Contact Information

Update your email address through your account dashboard at any time.

Changes You CANNOT Make

  • Cannot change delivery frequency — the 10-month interval is optimized for UV bulb lifespan and cannot be adjusted
  • Cannot switch product models — your subscription is locked to your specific unit model
  • Cannot transfer membership — subscriptions cannot be moved between units, owners, or addresses

Special Situations

Failed Payment Processing

If a payment fails, the system automatically retries before any action is taken on your account:

  1. First attempt fails — an immediate retry is processed
  2. Second attempt in 3 days — you receive an email notification
  3. Third attempt in 7 days — another email notification is sent
  4. Email notifications at each stage keep you informed of the status
  5. 2-month grace period total before any account action is taken

If Payment Remains Unresolved

Your account is suspended (not cancelled). You can reactivate at any time by simply updating your payment method in the customer portal. No rejoin fee is required for suspended accounts.

Moving or Relocating

Within the US

Simply update your shipping address in the customer portal. No other changes needed.

To Canada

Contact customer support to update your address. Additional steps may be required for regulatory compliance.

Outside US/Canada

International shipping is not available. You must cancel your subscription. No international forwarding service is offered.

Product Warranty Claims While Active

  • Lifetime unit coverage while subscription is active
  • File claims through customer service
  • Replacement unit ships immediately
  • No cost for warranty replacements

Rejoining the Guardian Club

Within Original Warranty (Year 1)

  • Check your portal for “Reactivate my Subscription” option
  • No fees to rejoin
  • All benefits restore immediately
  • Shipment schedule resumes from where it left off

  • 50% of current model’s retail price required upfront
  • Immediate lifetime warranty coverage upon rejoining
  • Covers pre-existing issues with your unit

FAQs

Cancellation
Will I get a refund if I cancel?
No refunds are issued for unused membership time. You only pay for bulbs when they ship, so there is no prepaid balance to refund.
Can I cancel after a shipment has already processed?
Yes, but the shipment that has already processed will still be delivered and charged. Your cancellation takes effect after that shipment.
What if I cancel by mistake?
Contact us within 48 hours and we can restore your subscription with all benefits intact.
Modifications
Why can’t I get monthly shipments?
UV bulbs are designed to last 10–12 months. Receiving them more frequently would result in wasted bulbs and unnecessary expense. The 10-month cycle is optimized for peak performance.
Can I get 2 shipments at once to stock up?
No. Your first shipment already serves as a spare bulb. Stocking additional bulbs is not necessary since you always have one on hand.
Can I upgrade for faster shipping?
No, all Guardian Club shipments use standard ground shipping. Expedited shipping options are not available for subscription orders.
Payment
When am I charged?
You are charged only when replacement bulbs ship — every 10 months. There is no monthly subscription fee.
Can I prepay for multiple shipments?
No, payment is processed per shipment only. You cannot prepay for future bulb deliveries.
What if my credit card expires before the next shipment?
Update your payment method in the customer portal before your next scheduled shipment date to avoid a failed payment. You will receive a reminder email before each shipment.
