Everything you need to know about your Guardian Club membership – what you're covered for, how billing and delivery work, and how to manage your subscription.

Get Into Your Portal

Every change – cancellations, pauses, payment updates, address changes – happens through your Customer Portal. You'll need to be logged in before you can do anything.

  1. Have your magic link? Check the email you received when your Guardian Club subscription was created. Click the link – no password needed.
  2. Can't find it? Create an account on our website using the same email address you signed up with.
  3. Still stuck? Contact support and we'll get you in.

What Your Membership Covers

As a Guardian Club member, your coverage goes beyond the standard 1-year warranty that comes with every BioShieldUV unit. Here's exactly what's active on your account.

Unit Warranty – Lifetime Coverage

If your unit stops working for any reason, we replace it at no cost. No time limits, no fees, no questions asked.

Bulb Warranty – 6 Months Per Shipment

Every bulb delivery is covered for 6 months from the day it arrives. If a bulb fails within that window, we send a replacement.

Bulb Pricing – Discounted Member Rate

You pay a discounted price on every bulb shipment. That rate is locked in for as long as your membership is active.

⚠ Important

All three of these – lifetime warranty, bulb warranty, and discounted pricing – end immediately the day you cancel your membership.

If your original 1-year purchase warranty is still active at that point, you revert to that until it expires. After that, there is no warranty coverage on your unit.

Warranty Coverage Details

Your lifetime unit warranty covers faults that come from the product itself. Here's exactly what's included and what isn't.

  • Manufacturing defects

Not Covered

  • Damage from improper installation
  • Misuse or physical abuse
  • Power surge damage
  • Environmental damage outside normal use
  • User modifications to the unit

How to File a Claim

Contact our support team with your order number and model number. In most cases, a replacement unit ships to you immediately at no cost.

If Your Unit Stops Working

As long as your Guardian Club membership is active, your unit is covered for life. Contact our support team to file a claim and a replacement unit ships immediately at no cost.

How Billing Works

Payment Schedule

The Guardian Club has no monthly fee. You're only ever charged when your replacement bulbs ship – once every 10 months. We accept credit and debit cards and PayPal. Your payment method can be updated at any time through your Customer Portal.

Your account is fine. We retry automatically and keep you informed at each stage.

After 2 months with no resolution, your account is suspended – not cancelled. Your membership history is kept and you can reactivate at any time by updating your payment method. No rejoin fee is charged.

Bulb Replacement Policy

UV-C bulbs are covered for replacement only. They are never refundable – whether the bulb is defective, unwanted, or unused. This applies to every Guardian Club bulb shipment without exception.

⚠ No Refunds on Bulbs

Refund requests for bulbs will not be approved regardless of the situation. This is not a policy we make exceptions to.

If a bulb you receive is faulty, contact us within the 6-month coverage window and we'll send a replacement at no cost. We may ask for a photo of the defective bulb to process the claim.

Why is the schedule fixed?

UV-C bulbs are built to last 10–12 months. The fixed schedule is set to match when your bulbs actually need replacing. Replacing them more often adds cost with no benefit to your air quality.

Pause or Cancel – Know Before You Decide

Before you cancel, it's worth knowing what you're giving up. Pausing costs $10 and keeps everything intact. Cancelling is permanent – and coming back after your warranty has lapsed could cost significantly more.

How to Pause

Pausing delays your next bulb delivery without touching your membership. Your warranty stays fully active and your discounted pricing continues without interruption.

Contact our support team at least 14 days before your next scheduled shipment. If the shipment has already been dispatched, it's too late to pause that delivery.

The $10 fee is charged when your request is confirmed.

Shipments resume automatically. You'll receive a confirmation with your updated schedule. Nothing needed from your end to restart.

You can pause once within any 5-year period.

How to Cancel

You can cancel at any time with no penalties. The whole process takes under a minute.

  1. Log in to your Customer Portal
  2. Click "Cancel Subscription"
  3. Confirm when prompted

Check your email – a cancellation confirmation is sent immediately. No further shipments or charges will follow.

Cancelled by mistake? Get in touch within 48 hours and we can restore your membership with all benefits intact – including your warranty coverage.

⚠ What You Lose When You Cancel

When you cancel, your lifetime warranty, 6-month bulb warranty, and discounted pricing on replacement bulbs all end immediately. If your original 1-year purchase warranty is still valid, you revert to that until it expires. After that, there is no warranty coverage on your unit.

Managing Your Details

Update Your Payment Method

Go to your portal, remove your existing card or PayPal, and add your new details. A small temporary hold will verify the new card. Once confirmed, it's active immediately for all future charges.

Change Your Delivery Address

Go to the Shipping section in your portal and enter your new address. Changes apply to all future shipments. We deliver to the US and Canada only. If a shipment has already gone out, we can't redirect it.

Update Your Contact Information

Update your email address and other contact details anytime through your account dashboard.

If You're Moving

Where What to do
Within the US Update your address in the portal. Nothing else needed.
To Canada Contact our support team. Extra steps may be required for shipping regulations.
Outside US/Canada We don't ship internationally. You'll need to cancel your membership.

Coming Back After Cancelling

If Your Original 1-Year Warranty Is Still Active

Rejoining is free.

  • Log in to your portal and look for "Reactivate my Subscription."
  • Your lifetime warranty, bulb warranty, and discounted pricing all restore immediately.
  • Your shipment schedule picks up from where it left off.

If Your Original Warranty Has Expired

One-time fee: 50% of current model's retail price.

  • This fee reinstates your lifetime warranty immediately – including coverage for any issues your unit already has.
  • You don't need to buy a new unit.

If you don't see a reactivation option in your portal, contact support and we'll handle it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change how often my bulbs are delivered?
No. Deliveries are fixed at every 10 months. UV-C bulbs are built to last 10–12 months, so the schedule is set to match when your bulbs actually need replacing.
Is shipping included in the membership?
No. Standard ground shipping rates apply. Insurance is available for 5% of your order value.
Can I return or get a refund for Guardian Club bulbs?
No. UV-C bulbs are covered for replacement only and are never refundable – whether defective, unwanted, or unused. This is not a policy we make exceptions to.
Will I get a refund if I cancel?
No. There is no ongoing fee to refund. Your membership ends on the day you cancel.
Can I choose how my bulbs are shipped?
Yes. You can choose between USPS, UPS, or FedEx at checkout. UPS is recommended for the most reliable tracking.
When am I charged?
You are only charged when your bulbs ship – once every 10 months. There is no monthly fee.
What if my card expires before my next shipment?
Update your payment method at any time through your Customer Portal. If a payment fails, we retry automatically over 7 days and give you a 2-month grace period before your account is suspended.
