Every TruBlu quartz bulb we ship is tested before it leaves the factory, and every batch is tested again. This page is where those results are published.

| UV-C output | Germicidal output at 254 nm, measured against the batch specification. | A UV-C bulb that lights up is not necessarily working. Visible glow comes from the phosphor and the arc; the germicidal work is done at 254 nm, which you cannot see. Output is the only honest measure of whether a bulb is doing its job. |
| Ozone | Ozone produced in operation, measured in parts per million. | Quartz that is not properly doped passes the 185 nm line and generates ozone. Our measured figure is 0.014 ppm against the 0.050 ppm FDA (21 CFR 801.415) and CARB limit — roughly four times below it, and tested rather than assumed. |
| Envelope and shielding | Quartz integrity and the shield that keeps UV-C off the cable and the surrounding components. | UV-C degrades plastics and cable insulation over time. The shield is what stops a lamp that works from damaging what is around it. |
Germicidal performance was tested by Intertek under ASTM E3135:2018, report number 106532780COL-001. The test method places the lamp against a flat aluminium carrier at a 12-inch distance — the standard's prescribed method, not an installed evaporator coil. Real-world results on a coil depend on distance, line of sight, run time and how soiled the coil already is. Full test conditions and installation guidance.
